At 2.30pm this afternoon, Monday, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to the remote location of the Seven River, west of Emmaville, to reports of a 25-year-old male who had fallen three metres in the vicinity of Ben’s Falls.

Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services attended the location and commenced rescue operations.

Due to the difficulty terrain and limited access to the male the helicopter’s Critical Care Medical Team was winch-inserted into the location.

The male was suffering from head and multiple fractures. Once treated and stabilised by local Ambulance and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team he was stretcher-winched from the location and flown direct to the Lismore Base Hospital in a stable condition.
